First flatbed prepared!

It’s a shame that more of the trees were not saved – most of the big ones, came down in Winston a few years later.

But you can see where the Driveway is going to be!

A bit of clearing, to see what we’ve got to work with.
And getting ready to receive the water.

The Cottage goes up

The Cottage is finished, and the water arrives.
So time for a Lovo!

The temporary outdoor ‘saw mill’ is set up, and the timber taken to Tavuki, to help rebuild the village.

The rest of the wood goes into the build, or is turned into tables, bar counters, and seats.

The Cottage gets finishing touches, the driveway is done (by hand!), and The Bure is laid out.

What a couple of months!

The driveway is finished off, and The Bure goes up!

After the traumatic events of 2016, much work on the grounds was still necessary, but The Bure was also brought to completion.
